12/16 - Brad is home!

The first picture is Aiden putting on the numbers on our avent calendar. He loves putting them up there. We had the day starred that daddy was coming home too. On Friday, our friend Crystal went to Gymboree with us. It's such a huge help when she comes (or Brad). On Friday, the boys had fun at home just doing random boy things. It's been too cold outside for the boys to play or go to the playground. There are NO kids playing outside anymore because of the cold too. Eli has decided he wants to try and play with Aiden and was trying to push him on the truck. Aiden wanted to take off and make Eli eat dust so I have to watch them carefully.
They spent some time wrestling too. I think Eli likes it more than Aiden.
On Saturday, the squadron had their children's christmas party. Crystal was once again a huge help and came with us. Without her, Aiden wouldn't have had any fun. As you can see with the picture of Eli and McGruff the Crime Fighting dog, there was a giant slide there. I helped Aiden up the steps and we went down the slide quite a few times. Eli loved the dog, Aiden was scared to death of it.

Eli wanted to go in the firetruck too. He had fun walking around. He's was too little to do anything really but Aiden and I made a bag at the arts and crafts table. We all had some pizza and then santa decided to come on the firetruck (it was supposed to be a helicopter). The boys were excited about watching it but Aiden was scared of santa.
The video below is of the boys playing in the bathtub and Aiden showing Eli how to blow bubbles. Eli actually did a good job of blowing bubbles. Can't wait for the summer and swimming time.
Brad got home late on Monday night. It was great to have him home of course. The boys snuggled with him bed the next morning. Brad and I went to the Officer's Squadron dinner on Tuesday night. We had fun at the Brazilian Steakhouse although it was pretty pricey and obviously lot of meat!
Aiden and Eli got new matching shirts this week. Aiden was practicing stacking all his markers together. He would get upset if they fell but we told him to try again. He did a pretty good job.
Aiden is liking arts and crafts more and more. We typically do something on our days at home and this day, we did a ginger bread house. Aiden actually wanted daddy to help and he willing did.
Eli loves the cats. Twix doesn't really like him but Pouncer is so good to put up with him.
Eli is doing a pretty good job of eating by himself. He still needs quite a bit of work with the spoon but he's getting there.
Tomorrow we leave for Daytona Beach for a few days to see Grandma Jo and Grandpa Dave (Brad's parents). We are excited as are the boys.
